chicago metal band wants feedback

The first song is pretty good. The guitar lick is catchy and lends to the groove of the piece nicely. I like what your singer does and it seems almost Tull-ish which is awsome. At a minute 1.22 however, I think you should remove the vocals and go with a more bluesy guitar solo that would actually work out extemely well with the cords. That way you do not have to worry about shredding all over the frets, just take it easy. The harmony part at 2.49 is very nicely done and lends to a tightness of the song.

The second song is not bad but it definately is not as good as the first. I like the solo work at 3.59 and the idea is there, but you could definately embelish it more. There are some parts throughout the song that could be cut to lengthen the solo by adding a chorus or two. The one thing I can say you definately should cut is the intro with they synth flute. That melody is not repeated anywhere else that I can tell with just one listening so it makes it supurfulous.

Other than that, not too bad.

nope i havent been there yet....56k is not my freind at the moment. but the cover for Veneficum's new cd was made by one of the guitarits in Dark Tranquality which i think is badass

howd they get someone in Dark Tranquillity to do their cover work?

beats the hell out of me. the keyboardist ( who i used to work with ) said that there cd was mixed somewere in sweden. which is cool as well..right now there looking for a better label.

ok, i only listened to shade of rust and the intro is a total ripoff of black sabbaths children of the grave. apart from that you guys seem to have a eye for marilyn manson? am I right? :)
this is really not my style so i can't give you any more feedback. but the ripoff of children of the grave is to obvious I must say..
