'Choosing Death' is a book coming out September detailing the history of extreme music, in particular the history of Earache Records.

This book will be the definitive history in my view. Myself and Dig hung out with the author Albert Muridan last night, along with Jeff and Ken Carcass, Mitch Dickinson (Unseen Terror and Heresy), Martin Nesbitt (ex-Earache) and were lucky enough to see a couple of chapters.......Albert has really done his homework and interviewed EVERYONE of note connected with the formative years of Earache.......John Peel has written the foreword.

Albert says its due in September and we will almost certainly sell the book via the webstore. Relapse Records is to release an accompanying 2CD compilation about half of which will be Earache tracks

The book begins with the meeting of local scene people like Justin Broadrick and Mitch Dickinson in Birmingham, and goes right through the evolution, to Earache's Columbia period and beyond.......

Might set a few rumours straight and no doubt provoke much discussion......
