okay guys...I know who he is...and I'm familiar with his work via Savatage and the first Metallium CD....can you all give me objective views on this new CD of his? I'm tempted but just need a nudge.

A sound purchase if you're a Savatage fan. His vocals sometimes are a bit rough around the edges, but so were Zakk Wylde's.

ha I thought the same thing....obviously Oliva is an influence. I don't find his vocals rough at all; the CDs are very much in the Savatage classic metal mode (no surprise), with obviously lots of room for soloing...

It's a really cool package, too. But, yeah, it is guitar heaven. I'm waiting to get some spare time for the headphones experience, as this one just sounds made for it.
yes, the artwork is great, my only complaint is that "The Damn War" text on the last page is so small I can't read it!
