On Friday, Sepetmber 26, SOUNDGARDEN vocalist Chris Cornell will make a special guest appearance alongside his former AUDIOSLAVE bandmate, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello, at a benefit concert for 15 Now the grassroots organization that successfully fought for a $15 minimum wage in Seattle, Washington. Morello will headline the concert at Seattle, Washington's historic El Corazon, playing an acoustic set with a guest appearance by Cornell. Tickets and more information are available at this location.AUDIOSLAVE, rounded out by RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's rhythm section drummer Brad Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford released three albums (2002's "Audioslave", 2005's "Out Of Exile" and 2006's "Revelations") before calling it quits in 2007.In a 2007 interview, Cornell spoke about the AUDIOSLAVE split, saying: "Tom and I did have communications about the fact that I was gonna go make a record, and that I was tired of what ended up seeming like political negotiations toward how we were gonna do AUDIOSLAVE business and getting nowhere with it. We had back-and-forths about that, and we also as a band sat in a room with other people trying to work this out on numerous occasions, and it wasn't really happening."Morello and Commerford attended Cornell's 50th birthday party in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago, along with SOUNDGARDEN members Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd, leading to speculation than an AUDIOSLAVE reunion of some type could be in the works.SOUNDGARDEN recently wrapped up a summer tour with NINE INCH NAILS.RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE reunited in 2007 but has not played any shows since 2011.
