Christo/Monday Morning Apocalypse!

Got both of these discs in the mail this afternoon! I can't wait to dig into them. That is after I crack open and give the Van Morrison Pay the Devil disc
a couple of spins!!!!!!

I've been playing the hell out of the Vanden Plas but haven't touched the Evergrey in quite a while. The Evergrey is good but less than what I was expecting from them. They seem to have gone in a less complex, more airplay friendly direction.

I coulda fixed that! :)
 I'm sure you could have Wheez. But I'm not a huge VP fan. I've heard songs off their earlier albums, and it never quite clicked for me (this new one might though!). I've got a hangup with Andy's voice when does that "screeeeeee" thing at the end of his vocal lines. I notice Christ 0 has alot less of that, which suits me just fine!

I think you will dig the new Vanden Plas. I can't keep it out of my player for any significant amount of time. It is their masterpiece so far in their career in my ears.

I thought you might like this one better than their last. It only took them four years to make the damned thing. o_O Anyway, maybe you can learn to appreciate Andy's vocal style with more listens. He puts so much passion into their music, it just wouldn't be VP without him on vocals.

I actually like most of his singing, Bryant, especially the softer parts. It's just that one thing that bugs me and Beyond Daylight was loaded with it. I've got Christ 0 queued up again tonight. :hotjump: It sure sounded great the other night. You can tell immediately that they put a lot of work into it.

Andy's voice is a bit of a challenge for me too. I hope the new does work for you. I think it's a freakin' masterpiece. :headbang: :kickass:

I think it is a big deal and that you share your reviews. :headbang: I was just goofing around with you a bit.

I for one am jealous. I got all screwed up with the tracks I have. It has the first track labeled as Christ0 but it is actually the bonus track Gethsamane (or however you spell it) so none of the titles match up. They are in correct order less than the last track being moved to the front though. "Silently" and the bonus track "Gethsamane" were the first to grab me and I thought the damned name of the songs were "Shadow I am" and "Christ0" until I started getting to know some of the lyrics. I also don't know all of the lyrics except for the bonus track which was written by Andrew Loyd Webber. :ill:

I am also really, really diggin' the Vanden Plas disc. It will be in my top five this year most definatley!:kickass:

MMA is pretty good as well, but I like the Christ 0 so much more.
