they are both recovering, though Chuck Billy is in much better condition currently.

Chuck was admitted to a San Francisco hospital over the last weekend of September. Surgery to remove the remaining cancer took place on Monday, October 1st, and lasted about 8 hours. All went well and the doctors were able to remove 90% of the tumor. Chuck will have to undergo additional rounds of chemotherapy (a rapid acting form), as well as radiation, in hopes to destroy the last of the remaining growth in his throat and neck area. Complete removal of the tumor was not possible, due to the risky proximity to vital organs. Chuck may also have a valve and vein in his heart replaced if normal functioning of both does not resume after treatment.
Chuck is feeling fine, recovering quietly at home. He will start treatment approximately 6 weeks after recuperating from surgery. Chuck is hella tough and he knows he will be beat this: "This game ain't over yet."
Chuck and his family want to thank Dr. Jablons, Dr. Mann, and their talented surgery team at UCSF. Dr. Jablons is one of the top thoracic surgeons in the U.S., and Chuck couldn't have been in better hands. To Dr. Jablons, Dr. Mann, the fans and friends out there pulling for him, he is eternally grateful!

I just get pissed off when people post stuff like "do some research first", when they obviously haven't. Hell, I don't know, maybe they're both on their death beds (I don't know either one personally), but they have both stated that they are recovering well, so I take them at their word. Both have posted on their official sites about their conditions within the last couple weeks, so I thought I'd copy and paste for those too lazy to look it up themselves.

There are only a few things on there right now, but they will supposedly be adding more.

haha! I just like to see ppl being put in their place, and you did it very well! I got my info the same place you got yours. Sorry fo rthe confusion, but like I said, I find the putting in place right in ones face pretty funny (even occasions when Im the one being put in place haha!), and I like to laugh hahaha!

If you don't believe that TOTT was a scam in many ways (apart from the fact that Chuck S. received a relatively small share of the money) than move to talesfromthepit.com and ask one of the co-organizers of the event what happened to all the money...
Ask about Chuck B.'s insurance and his employer that totally covered his treatments, ask about his new recording studio, his wife's cosmetic operation, his Raider tickets, ask about good friends and long time supporters of the Billy clan being fucked over, ask about the "live" broadcast...
Do it and than come back pretending you kicked my ass in front of your pathetic self-rightious supporters on this board.

perhaps you would have preferred that Chuck Billy not offer anything at all. TOTT was his benefit concert, after all, so the fact that he gave anything to Chuck Schuldiner is generous. As I said, I don't know them personally, maybe you do, but I think it's pretty damn silly to post anonymously about things that are contradicted by official statements from the people involved. I'll check out your link to see what it has to say, though, because I'm not an entirely narrowminded asshole.

So, I re-read your post and realized that I was supposed to email someone there and ask questions, but no specific person was mentioned, so I have no idea who to contact. Besides, why the hell would they give me dirt on something, they don't know me from Adam? If Chuck S is doing so badly and was so royally screwed, why is he publicly thanking Chuck B and saying he is recovering? Maybe you could fill us in on the source of your inside knowledge, or even who the hell you are?

Sorry if I pissed you off, A, but there is so much BS posted in most forums, that I'm generally leary of unsubstantiated claims. My suggestion would be for all of us to buy stuff from the Chuck S auction to make up for the supposed lack of funds received from TOTT. That way we do something productive.
