"Heavy metal fans are the most generous people when it comes to supporting good causes. "This food drive is a labor of love for me and everyone involved. Working together, we are making a positive difference in our community. "It feels good to be able to give something back to those less fortunate."This will be DARK ARENA's first live performance since the release of the band's "Ode To The Ancients" album earlier this year. Cleveland metal legends SHOK PARIS will debut new material from their forthcoming "Full Metal Jacket" studio album. BLACK DEATH RESURRECTED is fronted by original BLACK DEATH vocalist/guitarist Siki Spacek. He is joined by Vincent Lindsay on guitar, Bobby Bimm Fusion on bass and Titus the Phantom on drums. The band will perform a set of classic BLACK DEATH material. Formed in the late 1970's, BLACK DEATH is considered to be the world's first all-black heavy metal band. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1984 on Auburn Records, is a highly sought after item on the vinyl collector's market. Auburn will reissue a special 30th anniversary edition of this album in early 2014. VULGAR DEVILS features Dave Overkill (DESTRUCTOR) on vocals/guitar, Matt Flammable (GLOBAL WARNING, DESTRUCTOR) on drums and Erin Corcoran (VENOMIN JAMES) on bass. "In the beginning of 2013, I decided it was time to start a solo side project that would be different from the band DESTRUCTOR but still be heavy", says Overkill. "I had many guitar ideas I saved over the years that I always felt were good riffs but would not fit with DESTRUCTOR. "So I began listening to those ideas and it inspired me to put together songs as many new riffs started to flow from my guitar. Ideas started coming to me lyrically and the name for the band popped in my head one afternoon at work. It was then I knew I needed to start this band and find really good musicians to be a part of the plan. "VULGAR DEVILS is all about rockin' heavy metal that embodies the soul of the early 1980s music I grew up with."The Cleveland Foodbank supplies a majority of the food used in local hot meal sites, shelters, and food pantries. In addition, they provide food to child care centers, group homes, and programs for the elderly. The Foodbank works closely with other Northeast Ohio hunger relief organizations, providing food and nonfood products to hunger centers administered by the Hunger Network Of Greater Cleveland, the Catholic Hunger And Shelter Network, and the Salvation Army, among others. The Friends Of The City Of Cleveland Kennel is a group of volunteers dedicated to providing the necessary medical and general care for the animals at the Cleveland Kennel in the hopes of giving them a second chance at a good life. The City of Cleveland Kennel is the most overlooked animal facility in the Cleveland area. It is often confused with the APL or County Kennel, but is an entirely separate facility. Most of the animals that arrive at the kennel have been abused or neglected. These animals are all very special, but they have not been the given the life that they deserve. It is the goal of the Friends of the City of Cleveland Kennel to provide them hope for a new beginning. The mission at Lake Humane Society is to provide a gentle and caring haven for the homeless, abandoned, and injured animals of Lake County and persevere in defending and protecting animal life through education, integrity, and leadership. Healthy and adoptable animals stay with them or in foster homes until they are adopted. The staff works with the community to rescue homeless animals, promote adoption, education and advocacy for animals in need. They do not receive any government funding nor are they funded or operated by any national humane organization. They rely solely on contributions from individuals and local businesses that care about animals and their service to the community. Flyer designed by Claudia von Bihl
