COC southern rock > Corrosion of Conformity thrash metal
Who cares? They've sucked cock since Deliverance, last decent album from them.

Blind CHRUSHES anything and everything they've ever done or will do. Getting rid of Karl Agell was a very, very stupid thing to do. The minute they stopped being political was when they lost their fire.

The only thng I've heard from this band is the cover they did on Nativity in Black. I've always been curious about them though. What's their best albums?

They've done 3 southern metal albums, to me the only thing worth anyone's time. Blind is pretty cool, but honestly only Vote With a Bullet kicks my ass, probably since it's the only song with Pepper on vocals. That other dude sucked.

Deliverance is awesome, one big molten slab of southern metal. This album has always flirted with my top 10 of all time but never quite makes it. If you liked their rendition of Lord of This World you'll probably love this album.

Wiseblood is takes away all the interesting variations from Deliverance and makes a bunch of pop-structured southern metal songs. A few real gems, but overall just an average album.

America's Volume Dealer rules, they've mellowed out a bit and do some catchy stuff, but they started doing all the interesting tones like on Deliverance again. Personally I love this album, but apparently most COC (what they became with this album) fans don't like it. Probably because there is one bona fide country song, but I think it kicks ass. :tickled:

No, must of us (Corrosion Of Conformity fans) don't like America's Dope Dealer or whatever it's called, because it just flat out sucks. Metallica-lite. It truly is awful.

Funny though that their former singer and bassist took the same southern route with their pile o' crap band, Leadfoot.

this dude sounds just like Hetfield at times.
You ain't lyin'. They even "sneak" him in on a song from "Wiseblood," ooo, makes me wanna cringe just thinking about it.

To be honest Pepper Keenan is probably the main reason that band sucks now. Reed Mullin was the best part of the band and when he faked his back injury to get out of touring for their last album (he hated it), I laughed.

Get Blind. Karl Agell's voice is kinda psychotic, but the lyrics, the riffs, the songs, the drums, the sum of its parts add up to way more than the albums that followed.
