Hi Dudes,

I cannot live without it...It´s a passion. And the only drug that I still consume after stop smokin´...okay and Beer :kickass:

How is the Coffee in your country ? What are your preferences ? I drink it without sugar and 10% milk. It´s also very important for my clientele..(studio & guitar school). I offer a wonderfull coffee service.

Any recommandations concerning great Coffee & special preperations ?

Cheers,

Felix

Felix,

I am an addict as well. Sadly, I usually opt for something like Dunkin' donuts on the way to work because it is fast and easy. It's a good coffee, but far from the best I can get around here. I usually pick it up because of convenience.

Most cheap coffee served here, like in our work cafeteria, is DISGUSTING! It tastes like dirty brown water mixed with cardboard. I drink it only if nothing else is around.

There are so many good brands out there that I want to try. I want to get a French press device. I used them for the first time in Ireland and fell in love!

I have this automatic machine at home called Tassimo (it comes with these plastic pods) that actually brews great coffee if you are lazy and/or need a quick cup! Really good, better than Dunkin' Donuts for sure, haha.

Other than that, if I want great coffee I will hit up Whole Foods (fancy shmancy foodstore that I can't afford otherwise lol). They have a brand called Allegro that is excellent.

Most northwest dudes probably have tons of great coffee around that I'd love to try. Maybe I'll buy myself a Christmas treat and order some good stuff.

Oh, and yes, without sugar for the win! Everyone I know loads it with sugar, yuck. I really can't drink regular coffee with granulated sugar. I'll make exceptions for sweet coffee only when drinking something like a cafe mocha. One of my close friends literally will put 7 or more packets of sugar in his coffee/tea. Yuck!

Yeah dudes, welcome to the show. It´s good to see, im not alone :) I really recommand german coffee, called EDUSCHO "feine Milde" :D It´s an enjoyment. I heard about "starbucks" in USA, is it really that bad ? but maybe there are some special shops, where you can get good quality coffee.

I reeeeally like Vietnamese iced-coffee. Made with French roasted coffee, and sweetened condensed milk. Waaaay better than that Starbucks Frappuccino stuff (yuck!). If you don't like sweet coffee, you won't like it. But, it's also very strong stuff.

Starbucks has some tasty gimmicky drinks, but I can't STAND their regular coffee. Gross.

Felix, if you are curious about American coffee brands, research the coffee scene in Seattle, Portland, etc. They are the coffee Mecca from what I understand. Starbucks is just another chain and nothing special in the slightest.

I make Coffee in our very own percolator: http://www.pricescan.com/ItemImages/ImagesL/734769.jpg

If you guys haven't made coffee in a percolator, you've really missed out!
You can make it strong as hell without gettin' that gross taste of mud/coal to it.

Edit:
Btw, I had to cut down on my coffee drinking lately, since I started to get this stabbing feeling in my chest after those 7-8 cups(50cl cups.).

Seattle Coffee is great, I'll get that when I have the chance/money. Aside from that, Arabica dark roast, medium grain, slow french pressed with no cream or sugar is my usual favorite.

A friend of mine is married to a Brazillian woman, and he goes to visit her family every couple years and never fails to bring back coffee straight from the fields. Best tasting coffee I've ever had.

Starbucks is good if I'm in the mood for a coffee/dessert/special occasion. Otherwise it's a waste of money. Remember kiddies, it's all espresso with the flavor of the month.

Hahaha, much like in the beer thread, I prefer coffee for its effect on me than it's actual taste - that said, I do really like coffee, whereas I loathe beer (but it's happy juice  ), I'm just not the least bit picky about what kind (for example, instant :D). I always put a FUCKLOAD of milk in mine (and sometimes a small ice cube) just so it's not so goddamn hot, and only enough sugar to negate the inherent bitterness. However, coffee mate is the fucking shit; Italian Sweet Cream, Dulce de Leche, Irish Cream, HELLZ YEAH

Oh yeah, and I FUCKING DESPISE energy drinks, both for their taste, and the whole X-TREMEEEEEEEE badittude that surrounds them :Smug:

Oh alright...I figured most energy drinks had em. The overall fizziness of something like Red Bull makes me want to gag though. Maybe I'll try out monster.
