...author of books like Storm Boy and Blue Fin.

I only remember hearing 1 or two news stories about it this week though, and my job is listening to news every day for 5 hours a day.

So it's RIP for Irwin, Brock and Thiele this week.

Maybe wherever they are now Steve is being driven around by Brock in a Commodore catching animals and Theile is writing about their adventures.

My girlfriend was related to Colin somehow. Like a second uncle twice removed or something vague like that. Quite a tenuous link, but it was there.

Tough week indeed for Australians.

Was in primary school, living in Adelaide when Stormboy and Blue Fin were in their prime (even met David Gulpillil and Mr. Perceval on a school excursion).

Well that's three now. Hope that's it.

We had Don Chipp as well. But at least he and Colin got to grow old. Thiele was 82. R.I.P.

61 ain't that old. That's the same age my dad was when he passed. He wasn't even at retirement age.

I had to read Storm Boy for English in year Seven. I remember I loved it.

I'm gonna buy copies of Storm Boy and Blue Fin today. Awesome books, and Storm Boy is one of the great Aussie movies.

Methinks I'll name my firstborn Mr Percival in honour of Colin.
