COLOSSO is a Death Metal band started by Max Tome (producer/songwriter) in January 2011 in Oporto, Portugal.
In late March 2011 Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, Aborted, Scarve, Bent Sea) joined COLOSSO to be in charge of drums.
COLOSSO are currently in studio, recording their debut album to be released very soon.
The album will comprise eight songs, with a total runtime of 33 minutes.
While the foundation of each song is obviously Death Metal, there are several other musical elements that sprawl on each song...
Every song has it's own feeling/personality, but at the same time all of them contribute to a bigger picture.
During the 33 minutes there's not a single pause, which also contributes to this feeling of continuity and connection.
Dirk Verbeuren says:"I truly believe death metal fans are gonna be seriously stoked with COLOSSO! This is gonna be a great band and a kick ass record, I'm very proud to be a part of it!!"
Max Tome says:"For many years, I had the dream of writing an album on which I could express myself freely, mixing almost every influence I have inside and outside Heavy Metal. I think I'm pretty close to make that dream come true with this album!"
