that would be an extremely interesting thing to hear.
that whole Enthrone Darkness ... is amazing. and Mourning Palace is divine.
so, as I'm out of all actual events, can somebody tell me, is Shagrath the only original member left?
in how many projects does Nagash participate?
why did Astannu leave?
:goggly:

Shagrath and Silenoz are the only remainig original members. They are also the two founders of the band. Astennu was fired because he started to make Morbid Angel style riffs. This is what's usually know as musical or creative differences. Not sure about Nagash thou, think he was with them all the way up to the last album. He left after recording Spiritual black dimension. Check out www.dimmu-borgir.com, if you have'nt already.

thanks for the explanations. I don't listen to that kinda metal at the moment (I even skipped their performance in Austria in spring 2001, cuz I left the hall after Nevermore), but I heard some infos here and there, and was curious.
I'll go check the site...

one of my favorite riffs is from the last part of Mourning Palace (the last riff). It just sounds sort of like a triumphant execution of some kind(if that makes sense). I really wish Stian Aarstad(who i know by the way) had stayed in the band. EDT and Stormblast had emmaculate keyboards.

speaking of, have u guys ever watched the movie susperia? pretty fucked up -I- speaking of lacuna coil, theyre the ones that do the cover of fear of the dark. before they were called lacuna coil, they were also called ethereal. i didnt know that til i watched music choice on tv and saw the video for "swamped" which rules by the way. and on a totally different note. steven jenkins from 3rd eye blind is in the movie rockstar. i just think its funny when he tells bradley to fuck off. he sounds like such a flamer hehehe
