Compact fluorescent light bulbs question

Hey guys,

I know the regular-sized fluorescent lights still waste energy after they stop working, because their reactor (or start engine, the electronic part of the lamp) keeps trying to make the lamp work. How about the compact fluorescent light bulbs? I have half a dozen non-working bulbs at home, and since my energy bill is raising without any plausible explanation, this detail came to my mind...

If i were you, i would call the energy company to send some technicians to check if any of your neighbors is stealing your electricity.

You can also unplug everything and check if the electrometer is still turning and counting something.
