Well, if you don't know yet, Tom Araya's dad died of a heart attack last Wednesday, further postponing tour dates. Damn!! Slayer was supposed to play in Dallas on Thursday, but now we have to wait!!

I didn't find out until a couple of days after the show, when my brother told me, and he found out on a radio station. I'm sure the info is on a website somewhere, probably on the Slayer website. That was the whole reason why they had to postpone their show in Dallas last Thursday. As for Slayer being shit music, well, everyone has their own opinion.

It's garbage like TL's little missive that reminds me why I haven't posted recently... It's not about Slayer's music. It's not about sucking or not sucking. It's about Tom's dad dying. If you're too infantile to realize this and have a smidgeon of compassion for a fellow human being -- irrespective of feelings towards the music that particular human represents -- then express it elsewhere.
We are a community. When we are heard we are honored; when were are honored we are healed. The more people figure this out... I don't know -- I'm just having a hard time figuring out how people become callous, jaded, bitter...what-have-you...maybe I'm just lucky; maybe I just am more of a student of humanity...
Anyway, it's a shame about Tom's dad. Wish him the best and show him the support he needs...that's all we can do.
