So I listened to this album for the first time in a number of years last night... I must say, the riffs have really stood up to time, as well as the performances of Christy and DeGorgio.... lyrically solid

but there's an annoying tendency to use verse/chorus/verse/chorus patterns all the time, and though they're individually great, once you've heard one guitar solo off the album you've heard them all. Overall though it seemed worth revisiting.

I overall agree with what you said, and I would add that the production is bland, but hey, Jim Morris produced it, so whadda ya expect?

It has a similar sound to Sound of Perseverance, but half the awesomeness.

Great disc. Awesome performances all around. And I disagree that the album feels as formulated as has been suggested.
