Cool Def Leppard Demo

Besides being a HUGE power metal fan, Def Leppard is still my favorite band. I came across this. If you are a fan of Hysteria this is very cool to listen to. Enjoy!

Cool but I'm also confused. The arrangement is a complete mess but it is always WAY too produced and overdubbed to be just a demo. So one of my questions is...did Mutt Lange have that much control over the song writing/structure to turn that into the hit song it is?
Assuming that is an actual demo they put together.
It seems like a lot of work was put into something just to get the ideas down and the song across to show. The chorus vocals sound like they were layed down for the album.
Still, cool to hear.

Reading the comments on the video, it sounds like it was taken from the master tapes and some extra audio tracks that were not heard on the final cut were mixed in with the ones you did hear. Where the guy got the master tapes is an interesting question I have!

Absolutely. Mutt co-wrote probably most every song on the album. I know he co-wrote the lyrics with Joe Elliott for this song.

Still, cool to hear.

on 'classic albums' on vh1 classic...i think they said that this song was a last minute addition to the album...
