Just been getting into their latest record In The Arms of God - fuck me it's awesome. I got it weeks ago and couldn't see what all the fuss was about but now I understand after repeat listens. Superb record.

I got Wiseblood all those years ago back in like 96, and thought it was just ok, but I love this record. What of theirs should I get next that's in the style of ITAOG? And don't say Blind - I know thats more hardcore.

Get Deliverance. It's the album with Albatross and Clean my Wounds on it. It's alot like In the Arms of God. I think you'd dig it. America's Volume Dealer is has more of a Southern Rock vibe to it, but it's still a good album. Hasta.

Yeah, ITAOG took a couple of listens but fuck me, when it sunk in it blew (and still blows) my mind. Certainlty go for Deliverence next, a fucking classic album. As for Wiseblood, I love that album too, some real cool riffs on there. In fact just about any album with the COC logo on front is worth gettin IMO.

Blind isn´t very hardcore, it´s in the same vein as Deliverence and In the arms of god.

Get Blind and Deliverence.

deliverance is a classic,its like a greatest hits record and one of those albums that will always stand out in your collection,after deliverance get american volume dealer,it might take u a bit to get used of it but i think its one of there best albums,in the arms of god is a nice progression from it!

Blind's a great album, it still sounds fresh today and I've listened to it since it came out. Get it - you won't regret it

could not agree more. I listed to that album 1000x in a row. I hated it at first, but now love it. Currently my favorite album this year.

One of the best of this year. Mind numbingly good music and a lot better than their last effort. Pepper really pushed himself on this one. I say go for Deliverance and Wiseblood next, you will love both albums. In the Arms of God is a mix of those two albums.

I actually went out and got Deliverance today - sounds crushing from the 2 spins I've given it so far, but it's going to have to do some serious work to top ITAOG for me, hahaha!!

I quite like blind, some crackin tunes on there. Animosity is maybe my least favourite album if there is such a thing. If i was building up my COC collection from scaratch i would certainly leave that one to the end.

For those of you that don't know, Pepper is one of the main songwriters and guitar players for Down which gets a lot of love on this board. If you like COC or Down, you definitely like them. This probably seems like a lame post, but not everybody in the world is a full on music geek like the rest of us. Headbangers Ball has been spinning Stone Breaker quite a bit too.

Clean My Wounds off deliverance is one of my favorite songs!

I listened to that song solidly for like a week the first time I heard it because I couldn't figure out where it was...let's say borrowing from. It was under my skin so bad I thought I was going insane. Every day I was humming it, playing it for friends, begging the gods to show me the way, god nothing.

Then, one day, standing in the shower, BAM! Misfits. Helene. All that time just for that. Totally not worth it.

the instrumental is killer!
and VOTE is an alltime classic, first song I learned to play on the guitar!!!
