This election will be a fairly weird one.

The youth of the nation will side with Latham, but the older generation of baby boomers will go back and sit on Howards side because in their eyes they don't care about equality for boat people or that attacking Iraq was a completely wrong move as they believe totally different things to us youngsters.

I'm hoping for Latham to win but I have a strange feeling the right-wing oldies will push Howard across the line again sadly. Even if he's basically a racist dwarf with his head up Bush's ass.

It's all about how many oldies Latham can swing.

This was highlighted to me when my grandmother tried to convince me to vote for "that nice Bruce Ruxton". Or something. I'm not sure when Bruce needed to be voted for. Maybe it was part of that whole republic thing.
