Just heard a few tracks on Youtube, its an improvement from their last few albums, but personally I feel that since Damnation of a Day it just hasn't been the same. Check it out.

I was a fan until Cruelty And The Beast. Their 'black album', imo.
This one sounds a bit more metal than previous ones I guess - still, too rockish for my taste. I like the guitar sound

Thanks for posting!

The "horrors" of their music...

Seriously though, fuck the electric chair all you need are handcuffs and COF and they will scream just like they were being electrocuted...

I've always had a unique vibe of the guitars in CoF not really sounding too 'traditional', as if guitars wouldn't be really guitars  and this one doesn't seem the exception (I used to think it was the unusual tremolo picking guitar arrangements from back in the day, but that vibe is still there.. as if they would have some freq cut in their bag of tricks or something. It makes the guitars so listenable. I'm guessing it could to do namely with Paul Allender, since it translates into various productions..

I'm going to have to get myself into listening to the production side of recent albums, especially the Sneap ones. I'm sure I've said it before but a mix of his on older lineups would have been really interesting (to me, at least).
