Just heard a few tracks on Youtube, its an improvement from their last few albums, but personally I feel that since Damnation of a Day it just hasn't been the same. Check it out.

and this one doesn't seem the exception (I used to think it was the unusual tremolo picking guitar arrangements from back in the day, but that vibe is still there.. as if they would have some freq cut in their bag of tricks or something. It makes the guitars so listenable. I'm guessing it could to do namely with Paul Allender, since it translates into various productions..
