Crate Blue Voodoo

They take tweaking, but all in all - *shock* - I think they're nice amps. I don't think it's a secret anymore that I like my solid-state Crate more than things I tried up to twice its price and all I've found is that they have their own little happy place as far as sound goes - they're not going to give you Marshall or Mesa or Bogner or Peavey or Engl sounds out of the box but they can do some badass things if you know how to tinker with them. Those clips don't sound bad, but they have that 'cheap speaker' thing going on.

Drop that Behringer cab and get something decent - hell, I'd almost bet that a V30-loaded 2x12 from Avatar could beat that thing in usable volume.

Are we talking the old school blue voodoo? Or the newer one?

I know a guy with the old one and I did a couple mods to reduce some noise and it sounds better than most lower end tube amps.

Oh, nevermind, I forget what companies do that elsewhere so I can't give you a reference for those but you should drop that behringer as soon as you can.

Got 2 Eminence Legend V12 in the behringer now. Will try it out tomorrow. I plan to get 2 more speakers in a few weeks.
