Please suggest the best tutorial for creating impulses?

Thanks

Also, one thing I've noticed about making impulses (copied this from another thread) - since you're sending the sine wave out to the amp, through the amp/cab/mic, back in to the interface, and then recording it, there's naturally gonna be some latency, and since Voxengo Deconvolver doesn't take this into account, I've noticed that the lower I set the latency on my interface when sending out/recording the sine sweep, the better the impulses sound in the end! Just something to keep in mind :)

Damn! That information came to late...

I can be wrong, but isn't the "MP" function on Voxengo Deconvolver made just to solve this issue?
I've always intended it as "Match Phase"...

EDIT:
Voxengo Deconvolver Manual said:
MP Transform enables minimum-phase transform that takes place after deconvolution. Sometimes when you capture a non-linear equipment like speakers and amplifiers enabling MP transform will create much more realistic impulses, without pre-echo. This option can be also used with reverbs. In the end, you will get a perfectly timed reverb with zero initial delay and without pre-echo. However, this is not suitable if the left and right channels of the reverb impulse have different initial spike timings.

Guess it's something different....

From my experience MP Transform makes sound even worse. Just try different modes of Deconvolver to find sound close to original. It`s easier to edit response.
Recently I dont use deconvilver at all - I`m using pulse aproach that comes from definition of impulse response. Just sending pulse (one sample of maximum amlitude) and record response.
Here is my comparison: http://malefice.fatal.ru/sound/IR_test.rar
I`m posted at this forum (if I`m remember correctly), some time ago, but at different location, I think.

MP = Minimum Phase

Yeah it cuts the beginning perfectly, and makes the IRs almost totally in phase, BUT using phase differences as a part of a sound, like the dual SM57 technique is impossible with MP.
