South American thrashers CRIMINAL have revealed the complete track listing for their new album Sicario, which will be released in Europe on September 5th, 2005 by Metal Blade Records. The album was recorded during the month of May at Andy Classens Stage One Studio (Dew-Scented, Disbelief, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, etc.). The title Sicario is a Spanish word for assassin and is most commonly associated with the South American mafias and drug cartels.
Tracklisting:
Rise And Fall
Time Bomb
Walking Dead
The Root Of All Evil
Shot In The Face
Sicario
The Land That God Forgot
Preacher Of Hate
Touch Of Filth
From The Ashes
Por La Fuerza De La Razón
Self Destruction
The last track on the disc is a re-recorded version of Self Destruction, a song which originally appeared on the bands debut album Vicitimized in 1994. It will be included as a bonus track on the European version only.
On the musical direction of the album, vocalist/guitarist Anton Reisenegger comments: Its brutal, in-your-face thrash metal. I think in a time when everyone and their mother are trying to sound like At The Gates or In Flames, this is definitely going to turn some heads. I see it as being in the tradition of bands like Slayer, Sepultura, Machine Head, and Carcass, with massive riffs, very cool solos, and totally pissed-off vocals. Not to mention Zacs insane drum work. Wait and hear for yourself!
