CRIMSON GLORY announce new vocalist

JOP had the pleasure of working with Todd as part of our
"Scarlett Pumpernickel Choir" for FESTIVAL. He has great
talent and a real passion for singing. No doubt he will bring
that energy and ability to Crimson Glory. Congrats to Todd
and CG...they made an excellent choice indeed!

This should work. Think it will be a better fit than Wade, not to take anything away from Wade. I always though that attempts were made to make Wade sound like Midnight and it just didn't work. Now hopefully the next album will be better than the last.

He was the "main man" during the set. He and Wade sang the most songs out of everyone I think. He was great! I am glad they are moving forward with him...

I think I remember now. This is a great choice. Glad to see Crimson Glory alive and well. Now the only question is if the new songs will be good enough with that same vibe as the older discs.

I was a big fan of Wade Black, so I wasn't immediatley thrilled when I started reading he had been replaced. I never had the pleasure of seeing CG with Midnight, but when I saw them with Wade at Bourbon St. Nightclub in Florida a few years back, I thought their live sound was incredible. Needless to say, I listened to these songs with Todd and was blown away. Can't wait for some new live shows and/or music!

Wow! I'm not sure how to feel right now. On the one hand, he sounds sooo much like Midnight :OMG: On the other hand, he sounds sooo much like Midnight :erk: (maybe too much).

The clips sound great. This seems like an excellent development.

I personally never could appreciate Wade's vocals in CG. I understand that he's an awesome guy, and the fans who love his vocals REALLY love his vocals, but it just never fit for my tastes.

I'm excited to have a chance to see this new incarnation live

Wade Black's style is a little too over the top in my opinion. If he'd tone it back a little, I'd like him better.

The only Wade Black material that I have liked is Astronomica. Everything else I have heard him on has not done anything for me.

I thought ATRONOMICA was a great album and Wade's vocals were a BIG part of that for me. I hope he gets hooked up with the right situation and songwriters to let him shine... I was very impressed the two times I saw him live, he can bring it!

The thing that bothers me about Wade, at least on Astronomica, is that he focuses so much trying to "shatter glass" it's hard to make out anything he's singing. I'm sure he has a great voice, but listening to him is like sitting through a 60 minute Mike Portnoy drum solo! Enough is enough, already.

I'll disagree about the Portnoy thing, but I completely agree. I think he tries too hard to hit the high notes to the point where it's hard to understand him, at least I thought so at last year's progpower. I still liked it but yeah.

I saw the first show they ever did with Wade Black and it was amazing. This guy is gonna kinda be like Ripper. I like what I hear. m/

WHAT?!!!! I don't even know where to begin with that. Ripper has complete control over his voice and you can understand everything that comes out of his mouth. Wade I don't know if he has complete control of those highs and don't know if he even has a good mid-section.

No I meant whoever this new dude is in CG, not Ripper. But if you didn't see that show in Tampa way back when you have no idea how good it was with Wade.
