Focus is one of my all-time favorite albums. I think this new album will disappoint me at first, though. It'll never live up to Focus. It just can't. And I know I won't be able to not compare, you know. But I never make snap judgements, and I fully believe I'll dig this one after a while.

The sampler tracks sound very good. I did notice, though, that the vocal effects sound different this time out, a bit more ethereal than robotic and science fiction-like on Focus. If you've heard Aeon Spoke, it's not surprising.
