I noticed in the liner notes that Clive Nolan wrote the lyrics for Crimson II. How did that work, exactly? Did you relay to him the basic story that you wanted and then he wrote the lyrics, or did he come up with the story and lyrics all himself?

From what I've heard Dan wasn't going to do any more EDGE OF SANITY stuff, but then a guy sent him the story and said that he wanted Dan to make the music for a "Crimson II"... or something like that...
But I think Dan had someone rewrite the lyrics to a more singable version.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I decided it was time to unveil myself, I was that guy and the story wasn't like that and I don't think I'll share how it exactly was, basiclly the project got cancelled and when I saw on UM that he decided to do the project after all I contacted and he offered me to re-write it, I admit that we weren't on the same level about the lyrics because I wasn't sure how to write his idea so I tried mine, after finishing I was waiting for a response, when it came he said he chose Clive Nolan that wrote vocal-friendly lyrics and according to his vision of the story, I think that is all.

Now that's fucking epic. Looks like it was written to be sung to the same music as Crimson though, and as great as Crimson is, I don't think I'd want the sequel to just be the same music with different lyrics.
