Dance Of Death blitzes ARIA charts!

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say "FUCKIN' A!!!".

(Er-hem) Pardon my French...

I'm sure I remember 7th Son getting into the top 10 back in the day, but it wasn't for long. It came and went from the charts before I even got my copy.

Have there been any DoD reviews in the Aussie music press yet?

Crazy! That means Target and Kmart will be forced to stock it to..
That's a good point, and that will help it stay in the charts at least another week. Chart position is based the units shifted from the record company to the retailers, so it doesnt matter if no-one else buys it again, once those chain stores have to order in heaps (Autsralia wide) to fill their chart displays, those units shifted from the record company get reported to ARIA.

Things are looking good for DoD.

Which in itself is a further form of promo for the album, seeing that EMI dont usually do much (although promo for DoD is better than it was for BNW), at least if DoD is sitting proudly on top 20 album chart displays in stores around the country, people who might not otherwise have known it's out (or even that Maiden are still going) will know about it now. Cool.

If ever there was a time for Maiden to tour Australia one last time, this has to be it, if it doesnt happen as part of the DoD tour it will never happen.

Yes it will... people will look at it and go 'What the fuck is that monstrosity?!!'.

So you feel that the cover is more of a Godzilla effect than a vomiting effect? Interesting...

If I get a chance I'll scan the review and post it. I could transcribe it but I'm far too lazy. There's been an Australian version of Kerrang! for over a year now. It is a monthly as opposed to the weekly UK edition. It's a good magazine too, actually they currently have a subscription offer where you can get a free copy of Dance of Death with your subscription!

This is awesome news, much better than I expected!

Those points about chain stores having to stock it coz it is top 40 material is a damn good point. Promoted properly, DoD could do well in getting sales from where St Anger left off I think.

I'm not getting excited yet, but chances of a tour are much better than they have been for a long time.

If only it had a really cool cover art to make kids look at it. Like the good old days ! I would go for somting allong the lines of eddie gunning down a bus load of disadvantaged children or somthing like that . Or maybe eddie wearing a full SAS style kit with night vision goggles and assault rifle shooting at some towlheads !
