I recently recorded the first song of my one-man folkmetal band 'Thyr' ! It is called 'Dansa Svansdansen'. The lyrics are in swedish.

It was ok...it would sound much better with a better mix. I suggest bringing the guitar up more , vocals and synths should also go down a little bit. This should balance the song a little better.

The song was quite good,i cant say nothing about the lyrics,cause i dont understand swedish.
But with better mix, like George said,it would be much better,i think.

It's really nice! But it loses its goodness through some not very well-done things...

- The voice is too loud, turn it down a bit
- Please, stop growling! At first it reminded me of some really bad grindcore bands.. What about normal sung? If you cannot sing, try singing deep like Vintersorg did in his Otyg-times
- Turn up your guitar volume. Sometimes it is stark in the background what is making that song to some kind of weird synthie music
- Add reverb to your drumset! Programmed drums always sound very "stiff", so a bit of reverb or hall makes it sound more like a real drumset!

Allright, I have remixed it.
This is what i did:

- Drastic increase of volume on the gituarrs.
- Lowered the volume of the accordion/violin.
- Lowered the volume of the vocals.

And i'm sorry. I really have to growl, i've tried singing clean, and its pointless. I sound like a stuck pig weather i sing high or low (even if i try to sing like Mr. V in Otyg). And I really try to make my growls sound as "trollish" as possible to create a real evil/dark atmosphere.
Btw, what is "reverb" ?

Oh yeah, and if you think that i overdid anything, or didnt change it enough, just reply!

Reverb is pretty much just adding a bit of echo to an instrument. Gives the sound more of an atmosphere.

Alright, now your song sound very nice. The voice is just something I maybe have to get used to, but the song as a full work sounds really nice!

I dont really see the need for the way you dress though unless you are like old school black metal or something but you sad it was folk so yah.

I'm wondering a little bit because of the title of that song. The title of this thread is "dance the dance of the wolves" but the song is called "dansa svansdansen". Doesn't "svan" mean "swan"? I looked it up in my swedish dictionary and it says Schwan, so "swan" in english.
