According to multiple Instagram posts made by the band, Canadian hard rock trio DANKO JONES has entered The Farm Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia to record a new album with producer Garth "GGGarth" Richardson (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, TESTAMENT, THE MELVINS), presumably for release later this year. DANKO JONES's eighth studio album, "Wild Cat", came out last March via eOne in Canada and through AFM/Bad Taste in the rest of the world. Upon its release, the record cracked the top 100 in Canada, Sweden, Austria, Finland and Switzerland, in addition to reaching No. 14 in Germany. Over the course of the group's 20-year career, DANKO JONES has embarked on numerous sold-out headline tours across Canada and the European continent in addition to performances in the U.S., Brazil, Japan, Australia and South Africa. The band has also toured alongside GUNS N' ROSES, MOTÖRHEAD, NICKELBACK and VOLBEAT and supported THE ROLLING STONES and OZZY OSBOURNE. The group's namesake singer/guitarist was also a featured guest vocalist on VOLBEAT's hit single "Black Rose", a track from their 2016 album "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" that reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart last June. DANKO JONES recently completed an extensive Swedish tour and will embark on a nine-date tour of the United Kingdom in April alongside SKINDRED and CKY. The group will also play two high-profile Swedish festivals in the coming months — March's House Of Metal, which also features MESHUGGAH, UNLEASHED and NOCTURNAL RITES, and July's IN FLAMES-curated Borgholm Brinner, which also features ANTHRAX and GRAVEYARD.
