Danzig/Dimmu Borgir at Congress Theater Oct 25

I'd love to see this as I adore Moonspell and Dimmu never disappoints me. I missed Moonspell last time they came around. If it doesn't interfere with any Halloween parties I just may go. Sorry, Halloween is my Christmas. Ya know what, I think that's the reason I missed them last time...Halloween party!

Crap.

Oh, you mean that time they had Katatonia with them? I remember that... the show, I mean. And parts of the Snappyween party I hit after...

Hmmm....might have to make this one...I have yet to see Danzig live & DB does put on a good show

Danzig puts on a helluva show! Saw him when they did the Samhain, Danzig, Misfits tour, and it was faaaaaantastic! You won't be disappointed. I'm actually quite surprised that you never saw him Rob, you're gonna love the "bodybanging" Danzig does since he was born with no neck hehehehe:goggly:
Enjoy the show!!

I knew you'd remember that one. Yes, yes yes. I also distinctly remember you rubbing the show in my face once you got to the party. Punk! ;)

Hey I made up for Katatonia last year. And before you say anything, yes, I know I missed the last 3 songs but if I didn't get food in my belly I was gonna pass the hell out. Ugh!

Edit: At least I have a great Moonspell memory...not sure if I ever told you or not? I saw them back in 1999 at the VFW hall in Arlington Heights with In Flames. It was so freakin' hot in there. Fernando got a little pissed, complained about the heat and almost punched through a ceiling tile. Classic. I'll never forget seeing those bands in such an intimate setting.

:kickass: I was at that show too!! That was fucking awesome!!! In Flames' first US tour (for Colony) & seeing them in a basement...now that's metal!!! :kickass:

If I remember correctly, Rebecca was there too...I'm pretty sure I remember seeing & talking to her. Ain't that right, Rebecca?

I almost totally forgot about this incident. Harley (Kaptain Krude) and I were up front and center through out Katatonia's set and afterwards we were all like "Where the hell is she?".
That was such a good show, not to mention that I also discovered Insomnium that night. :)

Yeah, I was at that show. I'd heard that the VFW hall was pretty big but had never been to it before that show, or since. It's not one of my fave venues. Got to see In Flames at the Milwaukee Metalfest a few months prior to that as well.

I was using some old film camera at the VFW hall, too, but can't remember which one it was. It was either a Pentax or this Chinon that I had for a brief period.

Good memories - good times. :tickled:

Totally metal for sure.

That was obviously before I knew you OR Rebecca! Haha. I didn't meet Rebecca until 2002.

Christ, in 1999 I was still working RETAIL. ...I remember having to jet out of the show because I was on graveyard shift at the time. I was late for work.:goggly:

Ahhh, memories.
