Fans who'd like to cacth Glenn Danzig's "Blackest of the Black" tour this year will have to come to him; he's sticking to West Coast stages because he prefers to only tour within driving or short flying distance of his California home.

"I want to do shows where I feel like I won't be wasting my whole day away," Danzig said. "You're on stage for only two hours a night. The rest of the day, I'm stuck in a hotel or a bus or something. This way, it's only two weeks. Pretty much, if I can't fly home in an hour or two, I can drive home. I think it will be much easier for me to do.

"Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to do any shows in the Midwest or on the East Coast until I can figure out a way to do that in a way that I don't hate it. Now, I feel like I'm wasting my day away waiting for the show. It's great being on stage, but it's the other 20 hours of the day where you're just sitting around doing nothing and you're not at home."

hes playing here on the 26th, the Haunted , Belphegor, and well the shitacualr Lacuna Coil who are being advertised on the radio as the headliner even though I know Danzig is.

I just bought Belphegor's Lucifer Incestus album.... pretty good Black/Death Metal band... very cool coverart work inside and out also... anyone else like them or heard them? ...

Danzig has to have a very limited imagination if he can't come up with something to do with the 14 hours that are left in the day (minus the 2 performing and 8 sleeping) to keep himself entertained. Hell, he could work on producing a decent album with those 14 hours a day he's not performing or sleeping! :Smug:

Theres been some good songs interspersed throughout the last several but as a whole nothing really great. Maybe Tommy Victor could stop writing chug riffs and Danzig would actually write a decent vocal melody and not sound hoarse. Im still stoked as hell to see him this Sunday.
