I haven´t noticed this before since it´s been a long time since I had any DANZIG albums besides "How The Gods Kill". I used to have them all on tape but my tapes got roasted in my brothers attic.

lol how exzactly did they get *Roasted* was it just wicked hot up there?

I've only heard the first Danzig album, liked that one. The couple of songs I've heard from the other albums didn't make me want to buy them.

Yeah, unfortunately it gets quite hot up there during the summer and I never took care to move my tapes and VHS out of there. I wish somebody would release Three Way Thrash and the Combat series on DVD. :Smokin:

i loved the first two danzig albums, especially the first one.apart from one track, thats a totally killer album, one of my faves.the evil elvis rocks on that.i cant believe its the same singer that did all that shit misfits stuff before.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that he could go from being in a great band like the Misfits and end up ... well, like he has.

Just messing with you Baldy. I know you like solo Danzig better..... but I dont.:)

JD!
Believe it or not I was a HUGE Danzig disciple back in the day. I got every album as it came out and listened to almost nothing but the "mighty midget" for the better part of the 90's. Then, Blackacidevil came out and he lost me. 6:66 was ok and I think the newest one "I Luciferi" is ok...but to me he lost it when he lost Rick Rubin as a producer. My favorite Dazig album is still DANZIG II LUCIFUGE and my altime favorite track is DEVIL'S PLAYTHING. I also got hugely into Samhain, which are not bad...a little more "gothic", and of course everyone loves the Misfits. You made a good choice in Danzig III but I still gotta recommend II.

As far as every song sounding like it's about to dive into MOTHER, I agree. But then, AC/DC is the same way...haha...I like him but to me, III is his last great record and from IV on he's been going downhill.

Just my 2 cents....

lol I cant say I'v ever been a big or even little fan of the 'Fits  We used to do a cover of something off of II years ago I cant even remember what it is lol I dont think I have actually heard it before .... 4 had a few good songs on it 3 and 4 are the only ones I have ever owned

I met Glenn and he was cool as hell. I think the first four Danzig albums are all worth buying. I, like TVF, lost track after Blackacidevil. I heard a few things off of the last two and it was okay but I think Blackacidevil really put a halt to his momentum.

Misfits and Samhain were pretty cool too but I always liked the solo stuff more.

sorry ted,but as the great tommy victor said"i beg to differ,BEG TO DIFFER!!"
i really really am not keen on the misfits at all,but i absolutely love danzig(particularly 1 and 2).
dunno what it is about the misfits, maybe cause they are a bit shy on the production.i only ever liked songs of thiers that metallica covered, and thats only cause they made them sound more metal i guess :Smug:

Baldy old boy I am in complete agreement with you here Tho my Fav. For Danzig is III But yes the only Misfit songs I ever liked were done by Meclitaca

Baldy and JonnyD, you guys have not heard the right Misfits albums. Yeah, alot of their stuff is poorly produced but they had some gems also. If you've not heard the "Walk Among Us" album you are sooooo missing out!

Greeno Since you were a good sport and took a listen to my music that has the sound quality of a Hammer being run through a cheese grater :loco: :loco: :loco: and still had nice things to say about it I will Check that out if I can track it down

So that's how you guys came up with the band name Cheese Hammer.

Rhino reissued "Walk Among Us" a couple years ago, should not be too hard to find on disc. You may also like "American Psycho". It's an album from 2 or 3 years ago WITHOUT Danzig. When I heard they were gonna do a new Misfits disc with no Danzig I laughed... "what a bunch of morons"... But that album is amazing!!!!!!! Second only to "Walk".
