DAR Amps Forza "studio clip"

The clip isn't that great, but I think I'm able to imagine it's character... and as far as I can imagine it, pure awesomeness. Not an affordable amp for me, but I think it's price is still great for what you get.

Lasses Uber tones ruin this things day.

I will reserve judgement until more is heard. I do wish this clip had bass in it.

till someone skilled from this board, gets this baby and makes good clips... i'm not judging

Eek. For the high price and all the tech in these amps, it really doesn't sound all that different from anything else out there.

The amp delivers ~800 watts on the leading and trailing transition of every high gain note when turned up. This allows the amp to seriously cut through the mix in a live setting. For recording, you can pull the mic back just a touch to warm it up. Mic'd close in like this (as would be std. with most amps) will give a very tight tone if you are looking for it. The head can deliver just about as much bass response as an SVT if you want it.

All forum members are more than welcome to swing by my shop anytime to play and get the feel for the amp. In the S.F. Bay Area, I'd be more than happy to swing by your studio/(garage) to let you get the feel for it in your familiar enviroment as well.

I'd love to have a few clips made by fellow forum members

So tempting to find a way down there and test it out with some 8 string action. But sadly, I'm not where near the Bay Area.

Sounds cool but not as impressive as Lasses or Lolzgregs sounds imo...

Kinda flat and non 3Dish.

Thank you for the kind words

Mail me an amp and pay for return shipping and I guarantee I will produce some clips that will make your amp shine beyond belief on recording. I promise to return the amp to you without a mark on it.

PM me if you're interested.

I was planning on driving out to Cali to let someone play one of my amps, I'm going to have to swing by whenever that happens. We can trade for a little bit haha.

Ha, if your offering for people to play your amps I could drive up there sometime since I have no life. Road trips are the bee's knees.

Hey folks,

Everyone is welcome to come by anytime, seriously. I actually travel quite a bit, so dropping me an email with your contact info to mike@daramps.com would not hurt as I would not be surprised at all to be in your area soon enough.

I think once a few more players have the opportunity to get a feel for these amps and post a vairety of clips, then the properties of the amp will be made clearer for people to judge.

Hell, if you're ever in Los Angeles/Hollywood, I'm game to try it out. I don't foresee myself being in the bay area anytime soon.
