Although Gene wont be playing drums (atleast not right away)
Ron, Eric and Jim are reforming the legendary LA thrash masterpiece! I forget whose on bass and drums. (No Mike G on bass either though).
This is about the best news Ive heard in a long time, although without either A) Don Doty singing or B) Gene on drums, it wont really be the same.
I believe the full story is on Blabbermouth.net

YES it's all true! Sunday was the first "public" performance at Jim Durkin's house for a private birthday gathering of friends. They have had a few practices already. The plan is for Gene Hoglan to step in for any actual show, but until then they will use Al from Dreams of Damnation. Jeremy is a long-time fan of Dark Angel and a great bassist. They are working on the details, but really want to do this right! :Smokin:

It was awesome . . . they played :headbang:
(according to MetalGathering):

The Burning of Sodom
Merciless Death

and parts of:
Perish in Flames
Darkness Descernds
The Promise of Agony

Ron's voice has gotten even better. Jim and Eric shredded!!!!

:hotjump:

I think thats one of the first Blabbermouth stories that has virtually ALL POSITIVE POSTS. This is great news.

'We Have Arrived' (again)

Whoah! I heard this rumor last year, before TOTT, and Jim Durkin even said on his site, that it was going to happen, but fell apart, and that there would never be Dark Angel again...

I AM SO GLAD TO HEAR THIS!!! :D

One of my FAVE bands of all time!

Fuck yeah!!! Dark Angle rule.

Gene, are you listening????

Hope he'll join in, met him just once
for a few minutes and seems
like a sincerely nice person.

A huge skinbasher.

Gene is without a doubt, the coolest, most down to Earth guy you will meet in metal. No attitude whatsoever. He's also one of the most brilliant lyricists and musicians as well.
Its killer that they are reforming, as you can see by my user name, I am a huge Dark Angel fan, but it wont quite be the same without Gene. Either way, I just hope they release something new and tour the states again!
