Dark Empire "From Refuge to Ruin"

One band that I've eagerly been awaiting a new album from is New Jersey's Dark Empire - it's been 4 years since the release of one of my favorite disc "Humanity Dethroned" and I've been following founding guitarist Matt Moliti's progress in trying to work through line-up changes and what seem like several years of start/stop efforts to get this record out, but the time has come and Dark Empire's new disc "From Refuge to Ruin" will be released early this year.

A new track is being previewed over at Ourstage.com titled "A Plague in the Throne Room" - I'm really loving the sound of the new material.

Also of note for any guitarists and drummers local to the /NYNJ area, the band is looking for a second guitarist and drummer for shows in the spring.

Now that we have shared some of our new material, we'd like to announce that we are searching for both a 2nd guitarist and drummer for live shows in the spring. Guitarists should preferably play 7 strings tuned down 1 step, although most of the rhythm parts could theoretically be played on a 6 string tuned down to A standard. Must have a tight right hand for rhythm playing and the ability to growl/scream is a plus, but not required. Drummers should be a hard hitter and well versed in both odd time signatures and extreme drumming. We are looking for musicians in the NJ/NY area, or within reasonable commuting distance.
