Dark.. metalcore[?] song. Huge sound!

My friend plays drums in this band called Forefathers. They're pretty dope!

I asked if I could play around with their recordings a bit before they sent them off wherever to get mixed.

What do you guys think of this? What needs improvement?

First of all I'd doublecheck the levels, because there is some clipping. I think it comes from the guitars.
Maybe you can put more ''life'' in the drums (espacially the snare drum), by choosing different velocities for the hits.
I also get the feeling that it's not that transparent anymore everytime the toms are played.

The tempo is wildly fluctuating. Too much to be considered "groove". You may want to move some of those drums closer to the grid. Especially at the beginning.

Don't like the lead guitar at all. The guy has no feel, but I guess re-tracking this won't be an option. Also it sounds hollow and the reverb on it seems "cheap".

Other than that the cymbals/hats are quite loud, but I personally like that. Don't like those barely noticeable swishy-swishy cymbals that many modern productions have.
