Dark Moor - Swan Lake Symphonic Power Metal

I've never really listened to them a lot, but when I use Pandora at work, they are part of the regular rotation. A number of time, I'll reach over to see what's playing because I like it, and it's been a Dark Moor song. I heard some other tracks of this album, including the Swan Lake, and I thought it was pretty good. I'd almost go with them sounding more Nightwish-ish on the new album.

I have been a big fan of Dark Moor. I thought they wer doomed when they lost the female vocalist years back, but then they got someone even better to replace her. The band keeps on getting better with each release.

I actually have not heard any of their stuff with the new singer. The Hall of the Olden Dreams is a stunning album, and their best IMO. I think one person said "new singer sucks" so I just took that at face value. I like this a lot, though, so I will have to re-examine and hunt out their newer output.

I can't say that I'm necessarily blown away. With that said, it's refreshing to hear a clean vocal male and female mix. The beauty and beast stuff has ran it's course for the most part. I'll have to explore this more when I get home though.

Dark Moor has always been one band that sits on the fringe of greatness, why? No clue, but i really like them and have since their first album, and they have just gotten better over the years.

I've had a chance to listen to all the songs several times and couldn't agree more Emerald Sword. Phenominal disc. Would love to see them headline the progpower Pre-show. I think this new release will really get rave reviews from press.

One of my favorite bands! I'm excited for this album.
Their last release (Tarot) was pretty good and I liked the concept of it, but I don't think it compared to previous albums, specifically, their self titled album and "Beyond the Sea". I liked the older albums a lot too, for their intense classical sound, but Alfred Romero's voice is a million times better than the chick singers' voice and I think they've progressed a lot since the replacement.

Wish they could make it to the States someday....
Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.....

Ok...I know Im probably gonna get criticized for this but the singer reminds me of Dracula + Giacomo Mercaldo and maybe a little Mathias Blad influence in there from time to time.

Tarot was a fine album, musically, but after a half dozen spins I had a hard time listening to the lyrics. I'm a fan of Dark Moor though.
