okay, since I wasn't around on the boards when this happened, I can finally respond.

It was a documentary movie about underage prostitution and how the law goes about dealing with it. It was completely fucked up.

A 16 year old girl working under a pimp can go to juvy until she's 18 then go to jail for a year because of prostitution, but the pimp gets absolutely no penalty at all.

I also want to point out that it's interesting how charismatic the pimps of underagers are. there was hidden cam footage of them and they were VERY good at breaking down the not-quite-developed mentality of teenagers. But I did notice that 99% of the women were either black or latin/hispanic. Only one white girl. Could this be a substance of race, or could it be the way minorities are still treated as less equal? You decide.

I agree. I wanted to point shit out shit like this on a constant basis while I was taking my sociology class last quarter. Unfortunately, I wanted to pass the class.

lol, yeah I can see where that wouldn't go over too well in a classroom setting with perhaps some minorities present. I work with a guy that's half black and half japanese, but he uses racial slurs against himself all the time. One of the funniest guys i've ever met.

Really though, why is almost every underage prostitute a minority? Maybe because if they're white they're just considered sluts?
