What do i have to do... when my whole band says to me: No dude, this mix is awesome! We want our next record to be mixed like this.
They really don't care about the loudness of an album.

Yep,

It's too loud.
But what I find most irritating is the 2 second pauses between the songs (that should overlap). Any body else notices.
The Mastering/Production firm again lacking any QA. It's a shame!

I'm just listening now on their myspace. It's cracking all the way through but that could be enhanced by poor mp3 quality and the myspace player

I actually prefer the new vocalist. Musically it sounds awesome, Layers of Lies was amazing.

It is possible the the promo is different to the final version.
We were behind schedule with our final mix so Nuclear Blast had to press and early mix and master for the album for the promos to send out to the press in time - so the version that leaked is the old unfinished mix.

Could be the same thing with the Darkane album

Got Demonic Art in the mail last night, just in time for their show with Soilwork tonight. Very, very pleased with it!! Sounds better than their last effort, though I still thing Bergstrand should be working with them. Some great tunes, and the vocalist is good. I thought they'd go a new direction but I'm glad to hear otherwise. Killer! I'm already into this record moreso than with Layer of Lies.
