2) Details for the various songs

Suite Of Pain Major

A very short songs of about 3 minutes, starts with a classic death metal theme and builds to a fast, driving track. Lyrically this tune deals with thoughts about pain and suffering

Gods Of Death

Could be the new hymn of the band, haha. Very fast paced, the song comes with a great solo section and a typical DARKSIDE chorus. The lyrics are pretty obvious on this one...

Pillars Of ´Err

A slow, heavy tune in good old school death metal fashion supported by some arabic lyrics in the chorus referring to a pre-islamic topic of magicians and the mystery of the orient

The Myth Of Reason

Very technical, brutal, fast paced track with an athmospheric chorus full of melodies and vocal effects, the lyrics directly connected with the title

dEVILerY

Very fast, brutal death metal song with a technical mid-section and a long solopart. Lyrics dealing with kinda cliche but very ironic

Amber

The titletrack and maybe a big surprise, 80% of the song with acoustic guitars, just a fast chorus in a rather progressive style ala Meshuggah or Pantera, lots of melodies and harmonics flying around, easily the longest track on the album with over 10 minutes, could be a successor to epics like “Requiem” (from “Shadowfields”) or “Melancholia” (from “Melancholia Of A Dying World”). Thematically about the beauty of Amber, but also a dark retrospective with a kind of autumnal feeling

Architects Of Modern Atheism

Technical death metal tune with a double solo section in the middle of the song, maybe reminds a bit of a bastard between Morbid Angel and Nevermore as far as the moods of the song are concerned. Words talk about the creation of a beliefless society and its consequences

Solitary Confinement

Second dip into the field of oriental music in the chorus here, a mid-tempo groover building its tension towards the end. About the loneliness of a person in a cold, single cell...

The Burning

Haunting, very athmospheric verse section with lots of piano and harmonics by both guitars, erupts into a nearly blackish chorusline to end with melodic death metal rythems. Reminds me a lot of “Spiritual Galleries” from the “Evolution” album, eventhough the song is totally different. The topic of the lyrics is rather distanced, a very personal view of ideologies and religion, hard to describe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please bear in mind that this is just my personal impression, might sound totally different to anybody else of course, but I thought I´ d give you sort of an idea what we have in store for you.

We are looking forward to get the whole thing finished by March, because we want to take our time also for mixing and finalizing the whole album, as it should mark the return of this band, whose 15th anniversary we will celebrate in the beginning of September with a special concert featuring a few friends and most of the musicians who took part in the bands history until now. We are also planning to record that special evening both on audio as well as on visual media, maybe we can use some of that footage later on.

We are also very happy to announce the cooperation with painter extra-ordinaire Mr. Deather of IN DEED HELL on artwork and cover for our new album. Expect a work of true art !!!
