it IS sad that nowadays jerry cantrell is opening for bands like creed and nickelback:cry:   1992 come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just have a mental picture of all the grunge fans in their flannel and doc marten's at a creed show to see jerry cantrell play, being hassled by the gay creed fans, then after his set they leave, solemnly recalling the good ol' days...awwwww

Yeah,Cantrell was opening for Nickleback on a concert they were doing down at Pier 6 in Baltimore last summer and I wanted to go,but I didn't want to waste my money just to go there and see 15 minutes of Jerry Cantrell then leave before Nickleback hit the stage.I just imagined how the concert would go,too.I get there halfway thru Jerry's set and I can hardly get a decent view of the stage because the venue is so crowded w/little preppy so-called "rock girls" in their Nickelback babydoll t-shirts and hip-hugger jeans wondering "Who's that weird guy up on stage playing all of that ugly music? Is he Nickleback's guitar tech?"It's truely sad how that man's talent is wasted now just because his sound isn't up-beat of pop-punkish enough to keep up w/MTV.Jerry Cantrell, one of the greatest guitar players of the 90's,he been reduced to living on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma, for Christ's sake!

Well, that's just not the kind of thing I thought a grunge guitar-god would be doing...so far away from Seattle*shakes head*.Usually the majority of them are either dead or faded away into obscurity.Meh,just as long as he's still playing guitar and touring.I'd like to see him in concert one day, minus the Nickleback and Creed.
