I just looked at Megadeth's website and it said they were working on a new cd with Johnny Karkazis. You know who that is? Not the Sneap. The Sneap stamp on a cd guarantees metal content. This other guy who knows.

I knew Dave Mustaine would do something retarded like this again. I know I am being pessimistic but Dave has let me down so many times before. He makes a totally awesome disc then becomes a huge bag of goat cock and puts out something lame.

When will Dave realize he isn't worth a damn as pop singer and just make metal. Fast angry metal with lots of guitar solos.

Sneap: I was initially going to do the new Megadeth album but I am not doing that now as I’m doing another project that I also play guitar in called Hell and we’re doing some summer festivals this year so it kind of cut into the whole schedule that was planned with Megadeth.

I didnt know the guy but a quick google showed that he produced Disturbed, Sevendust, 3 Doors Down, Drowning pool etc. This should be pretty interesting

Hey I looked at the Wikipedia list of the cd' this guy has worked on. It would be appear that Dave wants to make something more radio friendly.

I am sure this other producer guy does a very professional job, but I don't think he is the right guy for Megadeth.

My favorite Megadeth album of the 2000's is still "The System Has Failed" so to me the mixing isn't as important as the songwriting.

Damn, well this was sucky news to read this morning. Uggg... guess it's a good thing I haven't considered Megadeth listenable since Marty left.

Don't get me wrong, Endgame was pretty good and a good return to form metal wise for them. And Andy's mix was great. But the songwriting and solos just didn't really catch my ear as old 'deth did.

True. Less right wing conspiracy theory and more drugs would help. As for Endgame I thought it was great musically and production wise. Some of the lyrics were pretty retarded though.

Yeah it seems to be the "trend" to claim the best bands in the world haven't released anything remotely good since the last album that did not have any change from the first one. The World Needs a Hero is great and hugely underrated IMO, as with so many bands who cool metal people love to say they "pretend the new albums don't exist"

I can't really be trusted to be subjective about Megadeth since I am such a huge fan boy. They were the first metal band I got into back in 91 when I was in middle school.

After seeing them in concert for the first time I went home and started saving money to buy a guitar.

To Dan: I never listened to World Needs a Hero much since I was still so ticked off by Risk. I should probably stop being so childish.

I think the System has Failed is an ok cd. United Abominations was pretty good and Dover gets pooped on more than he deserves. I like the direction End Game put Megadeth in.

I hope one of two things happens:
1.) Megadeth continue in the vain of End Game on their next disc.
2.) Or Dave overdoses and thereby is prevented from putting out another cd like Risk which will totally enrage me and require that I murder his favorite potted house plants.
