My buddy dweeb turned me on to this band. His post on another forum:

Dawn of Destiny is fast but extremely hooky, upbeat lightly symphonic power metal with an amazing female vocalist, Tanja Maul. She is passionate, soaring and penetrating yet musical and expressive - no other female vocalist sounds anything like her, except maybe Andrea from Lunatica, though Tanja is a much stronger singer.

You can find my full review at http://www.soniccathedral.com/webzine/ under "CD Reviews" and listen to some of their songs at http://www.myspace.com/dawnofdestiny

On a personal note...Nathan..if you bring them over, I'm soooo going to Minnesota.

Not sure what to make of these guys/gal yet.....Must check into further....

Here's hoping FOV gets either Triosphere, Sister Sin, or some Leather Leone/Chastain thing happening....I'd definately make the road trip...

Good call! Been playing em on my shows for the past month! IMO I know I'm gonna be way in the minority but I'll take them over Nightwish anyday.

And you just finally found about these guys? However, that is what so cool about this, discovering new bands all the time. I've had gotten their first album, Begins, off of eMusic awhile ago, and really enjoyed it. Just checked eMusic again, and see they added a brand-new second album, Rebellion in Heaven! Will have to grab it when my downloads renews. Listening to the previews right now and I like what I am hearing. If you have an eMusic account, definitely worth at least grabbing these albums from there.

Hey, give him some slack. I didn't know of these guys until I saw this thread. :)

I agree, and that's why I read these forums to see what's new or what the lattest buzz is.

You know I already have an account there - and I just happen to have some downloads left. I'm getting this! :headbang:

I dig the music. The singer's tone is a bit too light and not too operatic (which is good). Then again I'm at the point where I can't stand operatic vocalists anymore (aside from Floor Jansen). I like this stuff a lot, thanks for the recommendation Glenn!!

The choruses are very catchy and epic. I love it!
