If I ever buy a DSLR I could need some advice how to use it and what equipment needed..
I better stay(and try to hold on) to my pocket camera on the afterparties...

Were you happy with the Sigma 50/1,4?

Extremely happy!
It's fast, sharp and reliable. I was happy with my 28mm 1.8 but when i used this one last weekend i found out how slow it was compared to the 50m that comes with a build in motor.
It's a DX lens, so i'm not sure how well it works on a D700 tho, the focal length however would be great on a stage like the one at Sjiwa instead of the 75 on my camera due to the 1.5 factor.
