Hi guys, wanted to ask you guitarists about the DBZ brand of guitars spawning from Dean Guitars. A friend of mine would like to purchase one of these two models, yet is undecided:

or

I've been giving advice at the best of my knowledge, based on the wood, pickups, features, number of frets, etc. but my knowledge is beyond meagre in comparison to you guitarists.

Does anyone have any experience with this brand of guitars? Also, based on the specs, do which would you recommend from these two?

Would really appreciate any replies; thanks in advance!

Been lurking here for a while, but thought I'd register and chime in as I own three of these DBZs.

DBZ (Dean Z, Dean Zelinsky left Dean Guitars in '08 due to quality issues there). He started DBZ Guitars to put his full signature style and quality back in his guitar designs.

I got a Black DBZ Barchetta Eminent FR:

This thing is a complete hot rod for metal or rock, lead playing you name it. Those graphics models are slightly based on this and these are serious "I ain't fucking" around instruments there. Sound, balance and tone are all good. Versatility is great, too.

I also have a Venom Watchers:

To me, it's the one of the ultimate metal guitars from them. I can tear it up and down the fretboard and dig this if Vs are your thing. The Watchers graphic is pretty rad as well.

Lastly, I just recently picked up a Bolero Calavera:

It's bad ass and one of my favorites. Excellent balance, tone, and you can use it for all types of playing styles.

That DBZ Preacher you posted there is killer, and everytime I've tried to buy one someone friggin snagged it. You really can't go wrong with DBZ. The quality is fantastic all around, and if your savvy, you can find a good deal on one.

I recommend checking out their forum if have serious questions...
