I absolutely adore Murder of Crows and January Tree. I get the impression that this is more of the same (which some view as bad, but I like) and am anxiously awaiting this release. I expect this to land on my top-10 of the year, simply based on their past performances on recent albums. I'm a die-hard Savatage fan and Devon Graves is just about the closest songwriter I've found to Jon Oliva's creative, emotional, and progressive way of writing music. Not a big fan of the modern industrial sound, but Devon makes it work for him in Deadsoul Tribe. Some of the greatest music I've ever heard.

Tool be damned, someone is doing it better!

As much as I appreciated the previous 3 DsT albums (since Deadsoul is supposed to be ONE word, not two), I've never understood how a TooL comparison is used negatively by progmetal heads.

Meanwhile, this new album still hasn't made much impact on me.
