DEATH ANGEL To Open For METALLICA In San Francisco
Reunited Bay Area metallers DEATH ANGEL have reportedly been selected to open METALLICA's gig at the Fillmore in San Francisco, California on Thursday, May 22. As previously reported, CKY will support METALLICA at the Fillmore on Sunday, May 18 while SYSTEMATIC will fill the same slot the following night (Monday, May 19).




I heard each Metallica Member picked a band to open, Lars Systematic, James CKY, Rob Death Angel, Kirk The Depressor.......fan club members only & band's VIP guests, no tickets sold for this kick off of The New Metallica.

And on the occasion Metallica actually gets a decent band to open for them, its no where near me. Great.

Yeah no kidding. I like Rob's choice too. Rob seems more hip to metal , just like Jason was. Hopefully they'll pay more attention to him than they did Jason.

Seems more likely, but thats not what I heard, Kirk produced their first Demo, & helped get them signed, they self produced their first album, along with Davy Vain. Mark lived with Kirk for 6 years, & still hangs out with him. As for the other guys they don't hang out with him on a regular basis, but do run into eachother once in awhile. And its The Depressor, not Compressor, the person who told me the info, got that name wrong, I just relayed it.

Pyrus, are you going, I'm sure your a fan club member, see you there if your going? I'll be there on the night DA plays.

Actually, I'm not a fan club member...I keep thinking "You know, I oughta join that sometime," but I've never gotten around to it. But my drum teacher is a friend of Kirk's, so I'll try to get tickets to the Death Angel show. If that doesn't work, I won free Sanitarium tickets, so I'll just go to that...late, of course. As much as I loathe the openers, it's free Metallica.
