This documentary is now available on VHS (no packaging) for $10. The DVD will be out in May (also for $10) and you can pre-order that now. Postal Money orders made payable to "The Grimoire of Exalted Deeds" PO Box 1987 Clifton NJ 07011

Earache and Blackened Moon Productinos will have the DVd in May and you can order through them if you prefer.

The documentary is a little under 2 hours and features a number of prominent artists (not only death metal, but black metal pioneers, and Peter steele represents Carnivore and the early days of the scene), plus there are vintage music video clips as well as live footage that is exclusive to this release, including Amon Amarth, King Diamond, Cannibal Corpse, and Deicde.

Even if you have been following the scene for a while, there is plenty to be learned here, and it's also cool to see how the masters tell the tale. This documentary does not treat the viewers like idiots - I have aimed the DVD for people who know about metal. And have no fears, despite being a product of the Grimoire, this is not a comedic release.
