Saw it on Blabbermouth just now... Don't know what to expect!
What concerns me is the word "remastered", my experience with remastered CD has been almost always painful and a great disappointment.
Need I mention things like Exodus' BBB or Dark Angel's "Darkness Descends" reissues?! Or maybe Queensryche's O:M, which snap crackle pops just like the other two mentioned...

Dunno who's gonna do the master, I just hope he won't ruin the great sound by topping everybody else's loudness. :erk:

Whenever I hear the word remaster, I dream about these classic albums getting somewhat of a remix as well. Like reamped guitars, and maybe some remixed drums. Obviously, they probably don't have DI tracks from that long ago, but it would still be sweet!

For some really badly mixed albums maybe, but what's the point in tampering with a really good production like that one on "Symbolic"? :)

I like remastered Nocturnus albums "Treshold" and "The Key" more than originals. I can not say that original sound was bad. May new ones are a bit louder...
I wish to get remixed (remastered) albums of Suffocation (early ones), but it is only dream.
I think that Symbolic has excelent production even by modern standarts. Maybe DVD-Audio release will be awesome (high resolution and multichannel).
Dimmu Borgir`s "Death Cilt Armageddon" DVD-Audio is awesome because of high resolution (24/48) 5.1 mix.

Symbolic already rocks - even if you have the casset tape. Like you said, I hope they don't try to win the loudness wars with that thing. Don't really think it needs re-mastering - but we shall see. It's my personal favorite Death album!

Exactly. I'm talking things like Enemies of Reality vs. Enemies of Reality Remix. I could care less about more volume, unless it really did help the mix.

Another perk of reissues... bonus parts. Videos, maybe a bootleg DVD, liner notes, and all that fun stuff. That's what I'd look forward to.
