Description:
Manor Farm Woodland is comprised of two areas of new native woodland, being planted between 2001 and 2003. The species being planted in both areas is predominantly Oak, Ash and Silver Birch, with Wild Cherry and Downy Birch interspersed. Manor Farm Woodland is part of the National Forest, a programme with the aim of establishing a 200 square mile forest in central England. The site is designated a community woodland with full public access, with the hope of using the woodland as an educational resource for school trips in the coming years.

-some artist on this site have measured the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by the production of their CDs, and enough trees have been planted to reabsorb the greenhouse gas. they call this carbon neutral or reabsorbing your carbon. kewl idea-photosynthesis rulez!

Interesting! I decided to keep as many of my trees intact as possible on my woodland property in Tennessee, and will be planting some new ones to replace a few I had to cut down once I finish building sometime in the near future.

I thought about carving two totem poles out of two of the trees I felled, with the faces of the Iron Maiden guys on one and the faces of the Maidens on the other one, and putting these on either side of my driveway entrance...
:D

I'm getting homesick already - once a Tennessean...
